Mahabharat Episode 96 || Lord Krishna Meet with Aditi || Swami Govindacharya ► SRD BHAKTi
“Aditi is one of the most powerful characters mentioned in the Rig Veda. She is referred to as the mother of the Devas or the Cosmic Mother. She was the wife of Sage Kashyapa, and her sons were the Devas (the celestial deities). Therefore, she went on to become the Queen Mother of the Devaloka that included Varuna, Mitra, Surya, Soma, Kamadeva, Agni, and Indra. Aditi means the limitless one. She is infinite and the goddess of mindfulness, heaven, and productivity. In simple words, Aditi is a treasure of virtues. Sage Kashyapa was pleased with Aditi for raising their children very well. He was proud of her for imparting essential and valuable life lessons. And not just him, even Lord Vishnu was delighted to see how her motherhood produced sons worthy of admiration and respect. Interestingly, Sage Kashyapa had thirteen wives, and all of them were the daughters of King Daksha and Queen Panchajani. Aditi was the eldest of them all. But ironically, only Aditi’s sons went on to become Devas, but her sisters, Diti and Danu, spoilt their children by pampering them and letting them commit blunders one after the other. Diti’s sons went to become Asuras, and Danu’s sons came to be known as Dana’s. ” – timesnownews.com
